Starting in mid-October each year, hundreds of thousands of ducks and geese will travel through Iowa as they migrate to southern wintering areas. Help us welcome the first of these migrants at Purple Martin Lake! We'll hike around the lake, scanning the water for ducks and geese as well as other waterbirds like grebes and gulls.
Iowa Young Birders welcomes everyone to the outdoors regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, religion, creed, national origin, or disability status. Our events can accommodate wheelchairs, vision and hearing impairments, and other health conditions.
