Habitat is critical to a bird's survival, and most birds utilize different types of habitat during the summer, winter, and while migrating. During part two of our Summer Bird Series, we will learn about bird habitat from Anna Buckardt Thomas, Avian Ecologist with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources! Anna will share with us what makes good bird habitat and will teach about some of the different habitats we have in Iowa that are beneficial to birds. After this event, we'll be able to identify good bird habitat in our local area and perhaps even be able to create some bird habitat in our yard! This trip is free but advanced registration is required, and a computer with internet connection and microphone or telephone is needed to participate in this event.
