The abundance of prairie wetlands in northwest Iowa makes it an ideal area for finding wetland birds. Join us as we partner with Palo Alto County Conservation Board on a quest for fall wetland species such as Nelson's and Le Conte's Sparrows, migrating Soras and Virginia Rails, and many other wetland species. We may even stumble upon a Yellow Rail, a rare wetland species that migrates through Iowa in spring and fall. This trip is free but advanced registration is required.
