Northern Minnesota Weekend 2020

Join us for a fun-filled weekend of winter birding in northern Minnesota February 7-9, 2020!

We will visit the world-famous Sax-Zim Bog near Duluth in search for birds only seen in the Northwoods!  Our target species include Sharp-tailed Grouse, Black-backed Woodpecker, Canada Jay, Boreal Chickadee, Evening and Pine Grosbeaks, and Common Redpoll.  And don't forget about the species for which this area is known - the owls!  We'll also search for Boreal Owl, Snowy Owl, Great Gray Owl, and Northern Hawk-Owl.  We saw all our target birds last year and we're hoping to do the same again this year!

If time permits, we will visit well-known Canal Park in Duluth which frequently hosts a rare gull or other waterbird.  I wonder what will appear during our visit?

Click here to see photos and species list from our trip in 2019.

All of the details are below and you can contact us if you have any questions.  Come join the fun!
